Summer Fun

Tyler has had a pretty eventful summer so far. His Great Grandpa & Grandma Paulson, Great Aunt Jeni & Cousin Brittney came up from Texas to visit and also celebrate his first birthday. During their visit, Tyler camped out in an RV (while his Mom & Dad celebrated their 10 year Anniversary), went shopping at malls all over Washington, had a picnic at Birch Bay, splashed around at the Birch Bay water slides, and spent some quality time together at his granny's house. Tyler also did a lot of celebrating with his friends & family. His friends Riley & Dawson and his cousin Kael all turned 1 year old this summer. It's always cool to see them interact & to see how much they have all grown. Tyler also helped celebrate with his Grandma & Grandpa Kneeland for their 30th Anniversary! His Grandpa Christensen turned 50 & we all went to the lake for a swim. He also made it to his Aunt Lydia's baby shower and had fun moving her opened & unopened gifts around. Due to his parents hectic schedule, he missed out on a couple of parties...his friend Aiden turned 2!, his GREAT Grandpa Christensen grew another year older & his Aunt Vashti had a baby shower that we missed out on. Well below are some pictures of the good times we had and shared, with friend s and family, this past month.

Tyler can hear, a mile away, when the baby gate goes down and he'll make a run for the stairs.

He's moving quick before he gets caught.
Dang, busted!
Tyler decided if he can't make a run for the stairs, he'll take off the baby lock on the cupboard door that his mother doesn't want him to get into. Notice the lock laying on the floor by his feet. (since we are renting, we saved the "snap & release" latch locks, that need to be installed, for the house we are buying. This one below doesn't always work the best. He'll pull on it until it eventually comes off.)
Oh snap! Tyler heard the baby gate go down again...
Look what Tyler's Auntie Jewel taught him. And I swear today I hear him say "ya right". Hmm I wonder who he picked that up from...

On August 6th, Tyler turned 1 year old!! While his parents were at work, his granny baked him a monkey cake & cupcakes and took these pictures below for his album.

By the expression on Tyler's face, I don't think he's digging this.

I think this cupcake is scaring him...
YEP!

See, I just got started making a mess & who comes and stops me...thanks mom.
This kid is spoiled with clothes. I'm even jealous of his wardrobe.

I wonder what Riley & Dawson are thinking as they stare up at Jim...?
As you can see, it isn't easy getting all 7 children to pose for a picture.
I want to be just like you dad. Got your hat.
Yummy!

Tyler & Brittney play peek-a-boo.
A favorite past time, boardgames.
Brittney learned that the quickest way to Tyler's heart is food. Now she's got a new best friend.

Some of the best things about summer are berry pies and ice cream. To bad someone forgot the root beer.
Dad says this is an action figure...not a doll.

Baby gone wild!
My future's so bright, I gotta wear...
Okay, this ones for the girls.

Hmm I wonder if he hid it in the football toy box AGAIN. He's so proud of himself.
Who's the king of the castle, dad?

Wrong Dad! You're going down!
Grrr...

I love this picture. Tyler taking a bath in his old bathtub.
